Autism Dadcast exists because autism parenting is hard and too many parents are made to feel like they’re failing when they’re not.
We’re dads. We’re parents. We’re living this every day.
Autism Dadcast was created to tell the truth about raising autistic children. The chaos, the exhaustion, the guilt, the humour, the breakthroughs, the pride, and the moments no one prepares you for. Not from a textbook. Not from theory. From real life.
We talk openly about meltdowns, school battles, EHCPs, burnout, relationships, mental health, and the pressure to “hold it together” when everything feels like it’s falling apart. We also talk about the wins — the small ones and the huge ones — because they matter more than people realise.
Gaz is the co-founder and co-host of Autism Dadcast, a podcast for parents raising autistic kids. He’s an ex-military dog trainer and handler, and a father to two children. One is 18 and neurotypical. The other is 6 and profoundly autistic. That contrast has given him a perspective a lot of people in this space don’t have.
He started the podcast in 2025 because there was nothing out there that spoke to the reality of what families like his go through. The meltdowns, the sleep deprivation, the medical appointments, the relationship strain, the internal battles that dads face but rarely talk about. He speaks openly about all of it, with the kind of dark humour that comes from living it.
The podcast has built a community of parents who are often just getting by. People who don’t have time for motivational content or generic advice. They need to know someone else gets it and that they’re not alone in the hardest parts. That’s what Gaz does.

Andy is the co-founder and co-host of Autism Dadcast, a podcast created because he couldn’t find a single honest, unfiltered voice speaking to what dads actually go through when raising autistic children. After twenty years in HR and talent management, Andy found himself navigating a diagnosis, care systems and advocacy roles he never expected to take on. He is a father to Lydia, who is profoundly autistic, non-verbal and full of personality — a firecracker who has taught him more about strength, resilience and communication than any leadership book ever could.
Andy brings emotional depth, humour carved out of trauma, and a kind of relatable dad-logic that strikes a chord with parents who often feel invisible. Listeners regularly message him to say his honesty makes them feel seen, eases dad guilt, and gives them permission to admit, “I’m struggling, and that’s OK.”
